From the first call to a serviced unit
Detroit Porta Potty Rental is a round-the-clock line for portable toilet bookings in Detroit and the towns around it. The call is answered, a local operator is sent when one is free, and the units, placement and servicing are agreed before delivery.

How Detroit Porta Potty Rental works
The downtown festival and race calendar, the freeway and bridge work and the older brick housing of the inner ring each put their own demands on a toilet booking. The same count of units can be right for a parade and wrong for a construction crew on the same street.
The units themselves are supplied and serviced by local operators, not by this line. The line makes sure the call is answered, the right operator is found and the terms are set out before anything is delivered.
The hauler on your job is the one Michigan licenses
Delivery, weekly servicing and pick-up in Detroit and Wayne County are carried out by the nearest independent portable sanitation partner working your side of the metro area. That firm owns the trucks and the stock, its name goes on the agreement you sign, and the obligations that come with the job sit with it: whatever licences, permits and registrations the work calls for, its own insurance, and answering to the office that issues them. Detroit Porta Potty Rental runs the phone line and nothing else.
Michigan does not license the renting of a restroom. What it licenses is the pumping. Under Part 117 of the Natural Resources and Environmental Protection Act, portable toilet contents are handled as septage, and a company that services a unit needs a septage waste servicing licence plus a licence for each truck, administered by the Department of Environment, Great Lakes, and Energy. A licensed truck carries the words "licensed septage hauler", its vehicle licence number and the year seal on both sides, and a certified local health department inspects it before approval. Ask the partner which licences it holds rather than assuming any of it from this page.
You can have those numbers whenever you want them: ask on your first call to (888) 351-0294, or ask the partner when it rings to confirm the drop. We do not print them here: a credential is the private property of the business that earned it, and publishing another firm's paperwork is not ours to do. Once you have a number, EGLE's Septage Haulers Directory on the Septage Waste Program page will tell you whether the licence is valid and when it expires, which is a better answer than any promise we could make.
What we hold ourselves to
Counted honestly
The unit count follows the headcount and hours, not a rule of thumb sold as a standard.
Nothing booked unagreed
The placement, servicing and cost are agreed before a unit is delivered.
Local routes
Operators know the Detroit loading points, the closure schedules and the permit offices.
Any hour
The phone is answered around the clock, because events and crews start early and finish late.
Our promises on every visit
- Calls answered around the clock
- Count and placement agreed before delivery
- Servicing schedule set in writing

One call and it gets handled.
Most help calls are scheduled the same day when a technician is free, and you approve the price before any work starts.
